Holy Cross Cathedral (Heilig-Kreuz-Münster)
The oldest hall-church in Southern Germany from the Gothic era. Built between 1315 and 1521 on the site of its Romanesque predecessor, it is essentially a Parler building. Worthy of note is the Holy Sepulchre (around 1350) and the Sebaldus Altar in the baptistery (1510). The architectural sculpture is some of the most outstanding to be found in Gothic town churches.
