Hohenzollern Route
Beschreibung:
Over a distance of some 230 km, the Hohenzollern Route takes you through the countryside and to many sights that once made up “Hohenzollern country”. The route start from the Neckar valley in the north and runs down almost as far as Lake Constance in the south, traversing the Swabian Alb an the way. Hohenzollern Castle was the cradle of the Hohenzollern dynasty of princes, kings and emperors, a familiy wihich still exists today. From their palaces in the residential towns of Haigerloch, Hechingen and Sigmaringen, the Hohenzollern ruled for centuries over an extensive area between Baden and Württemberg. From the principal castle of this old aristocratic dynasty, Hohenzollern Castle near Bisingen, visitors have a wonderful view of the Swabian Alb and its foothills.
