German Whip-Museum

Deutsches Peitschenmuseum

The museum is located in the former railway station of the „Hohenzollerische Landesbahn“ in Burladingen-Killer.

It displays a collection of whips from all over the world, such as riding-whips, hunting-crops, etc. Visitors are informed about all kinds of whips and their production. The exhibition includes original historical machines which where used for producing whips.
Apart from that, a second exhibition with varying topics has been set up in the station’s former waiting room. It shows items from different fields of fine art, culture, antiques and local arts and crafts.

An entry in the Guinessbook refers to the museum as the first and only whip-museum in the world.

After guided tours (by appointment only) snacks and drinks can be offered in the cafeteria (on request).
